BYTOM – AT THE POINT OF MUSIC AND ACTIVITY
Tomek Lipiński and Dawid Ogrodnik are the heroes of the latest BYTOM campaign, which continues to promote the brand by referring to the Polish culture and art. This time the brand presents two generations of different artists: music and actor. An incredible duo of different personalities and generations was joined by music, which became the theme of the campaign and photos of the latest BYTOM collection.
The Bytom spring – summer 2019 collection presented by the heroes is a collision of two strong trends. It is a collaboration of the present and the past maintained in the classic style of men’s fashion. On the one hand, it is a vintage spirit close to the BYTOM brand, whose history begins in 1945, reaching back to the style of the not-so-old 1980s, i.e. the general trend in world fashion. On the other hand, it is the stage extravaganza of jazz and swing musicians (jazz music has entered the history of culture and art of the 20th and 21st centuries, being part of the world’s cultural heritage, which the BYTOM brand wants to emphasize).
The first trend is manifested in wide lapels, both open and V-shape, and a looser suit cut. The very combination of colours and patterns – in this case, wide belts in a shirt versus tennis in a suit – refers directly to the stylization of the musicians of the 80s of the 20th century. Strong, dark blue stripes emphasize rock independence, while red ones are a provenance of punk style. The colours used in the collection are also not strictly classic. Pomegranates, blues or light greys revolve around their warmer hints, also bringing the character of past years, retro style. The second evening edition is characterized by a strong contrast between the used white jackets and the deep black of the pants. And here a direct reference to jazz or swing improvisations. White shirts with wide collars in combination with white jackets with prominent V-shape lapels were combined “with a slight grain of salt” with exaggerated accessories in the form of a huge fly or black rose in the buttonhole. The whole collection is made of the best quality Italian shirt and suit fabrics, sewn in Polish sewing plants.
